Using "My POI" on HDD Nav System

Can anyone work out how to set a downloaded POI 200 miles away to be the destination?

I only seem to be able to spec stuff 20 miles away which is a bit of a Censored for work!

I'm sure you can, I think you have to pick the area/location first but not 100% sure. I'll check tomorrow and get back to you. MY13 HSE LUX Aintree Green

Get the POI postcode or map reference and put that in as your destination?

Not sure I understand your point. That's what I'm doing now but it rather defeats the object of loading the POIs as I still need a separate list of customer addresses.

As far as I can see and it's a real pain is to move the map to near the location then pick "POI near map centre". my PC is slightly to the right of Genghis

I'll have a look at that, thanks.

Its a daft way of going about it though, it means you need to know where you are going before you start, which is kinda the point of the Sat Nav ..... design genius!

This is how you can do it, I've had a play and it works.
Press destination entry.
Then Press POI
Then press POI button for near cursor or input town centre. Pressing town centre is easier.
Press ok when the button is highlighted then input the city or town you require.
Once the input town or city is picked press ok, then you can pick from the list of POI from that area. MY13 HSE LUX Aintree Green

Tried that today but it only includes the built in POI categories, yes a list of POIs from one of those categories are located near the selected place but it doesn't list any of my uploaded POIs. Sad

The system knows my uploaded POIs exist as it shows their icons on the map, including the map shown in the above place selection process.

Maybe it's the way I uploaded? All the POI files where single files in the root directory of the USB stick, would bunging them in a "MyPOI" (or WHY) directory help? How do the inbuilt categories work, like "Restaurants" that then breaks down into sub-categories of Chinese, Fast Food, Indian, etc? Cheers
Dave.
