One of ours had starting problems and low fuel pressure, changing the fuel filter seemed to fix it. No problems since. Try that first. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

I have had the filter changed. the fuel tank if full and the system was hand bleed up to the pump. on the computor it was given a low fuel pressure which took a long time to build. the car will start only if some engine start is introduced into the air filter to speed up the engine and allow the pump to give extra pressure. there are no fuel leaks or air in the system as far i can see.

After a long time doing every thing else I have got around to replacing the pump. not a difficult job just messy. to cut a long story short it went well, started after a few turns. so all is sorted. However the alternator clutch has given up after just over 1 year. A well!! |

My previous car has had the fuel pump replaced twice over the years, but I did have the car for almost 2 decades. Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!
