Thanks chaps, had the glove box lid off (as directed by the manual), but was looking at the area behind - not down to the side.

Got to it - pulled it a bit of the way out and it didn't look too dirty so put it back in. However I still have stale smell in car-it smells like a stale vanilla of the magic tree freshener I had in for a bit. I'm now thinking that' this hanging freshener was so strong it has impregnated all the fabrics , like the fabric under the roof and carpets etc. Might try some fabreze or something on these- any thoughts? |

Well I bought a new one , but haven't put it in yet, cos it looks awkward. I assume the new one needs bending and manipulating. Still got the stale smell. The gliptonr leather conditioner smell hasn't covered it too much |

Pollen filter is easy enough to change so worth doing, is the AC drain pipe blocked creating that smell. Do a search on how to clear it as they get blocked, also not a hard job to sort |

Don't think it's blocked. There was a pool of water under the car when it was humid recently. It's more of a stale air freshener smell. Might have a go at the filter, seeing as I've bought it. Just don't want to wreck it while apparently being a contortionist getting it back in😃 |

Change it- you have the new filter already.
