Be aware of Headlight Bulb Spec change and free bulb offer.

Karma has go its own back having added "dogging" the other day to LRNut's post on headlights as now realized my N.S. headlight bulb had blown (actually my wife spotted it last night).

So he thinks just dig out the bulb in the garage left over from the previous MY11 when I up rated the bulbs. Headlight was easier to take out than struggle only to find the fitment is different on a MY13 with daytime running lights. Sod and Censored as I had to refit the unit and head off the Andrew Page in Leeds who have Osram replacements at £5.64.

Some points:

1. Unless its moisture the lens now looks less clear than the other one and looks impossible to get in at to wipe, even with headlight off.

2.12 days ago the car lost power for a millisecond in heavy rain and now wonder if that was the bulb going causing a surge.

3. Was going to drop out the RH headlamp to speed up changing the power steering oil that arrived in the post toady to find it was not going to come out without a fight so left all well and good alone so lets hope that one does not now blow as the power steering tank bracket stops any bulb change (I think) without its removal.

4. Where the loom connects to the lamp its a straight forward unclip and pull off but the connector on the unit swivels, does anyone know why ? Is it for driving abroad ?

The free offer: As I have (I think as I tested continuity) a perfectly good headlight bulb that is no use to me I can pass it on to anyone near Leeds 15 with the earlier model. In Box me to arrange any collection. FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years
