It's so much fun but I was very restrained yesterday I have to admit. We have the saltash-Plymouth toll bridge I use for the exact same reason!!! Love the SD4 auto. Would never go back to a manual now |

My SD4 Metro had it's first service (16000 miles) about a month ago and the average mpg (based on three tank fills) has improved from struggling-to-get 33 mpg to now an easy-win 36 mpg.

Had a DS on loan, rear load aperture has a lower roof line so not as good as the FL2 for bulky loads, also hate the dinky mirrors.

I regularly get 41-42 mpg whilst driving long trips. I have found that the trick isn't to select the highest possible gear - but to try to drive at 1500rpm. Obviously, this isn't possible at high speeds but it works for me.

Trip to York and back (from the South Coast) last weekend. On the way up, I averaged 37.6 mpg and on the way back with 3up plus luggage 35.8. Journey back was less leisurely Very pleased with that. This weekend down to Cornwall, so it'll be interesting to see how it does on the A roads

I got 510 miles to a full tank in August. Presume that is pretty good. (Past) Freelander 2 HSE 2010 MY In Rimini Red.
