Wheels volvo s60 235/40/18

Hello
Sorry for my english I am french.
I wanted to know if volvo s60 wheels mounted 235/40/18 was compatible with my Freelander 2 .
There is the same spacing but it's the size of the tire that makes me a little scared.
thanks you Laughing

They are very low profile and might look silly on a FL2 as they wont fill the arch space and look too small??

A 235/40/18 tyre has an outside diameter of 25.4"
A 235/60/18 tyre, which is the standard FL2 size has an outside diameter of 29.1"

The 40 profile tyre will be rotating a lot faster than the 60 profile tyre so the speedo would read fast

40 profile tyre would do 794 turns per mile
60 profile tyre would do 693 turns per mile

So quite a lot of difference and of course you dont only have to consider the wheels bolt pattern and pcd but also its offset and mounting bore size.

In all I would say no they arent any good??

when i was looking to see if my spare set of wheels would fit a Volvo XC60 the nuts were the right spacing but the bore was different, which meant the nuts were holding the weight of the vehicle not the central bore Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

You wouldn't want your nuts to take all the weight Whistle 10MY (Sept 09) TD4 HSE Auto in Stornoway Grey (Now Gone)

But ok on the spacing 5x108 xc60
Central bore 63.3
deport ET55
After installation : 14x1.50.

This is the offset that changes
on freelander is ET50 and is ET55 for the volvo

you advise me to drop

If the offset is 50mm on the FL2 and 55mm on the Volvo then as I see it the Volvo wheel will sit closer to the suspension strut and its already very close as standard.
Might clear might not but I suppose you could fit adaptor plates with studs that move the wheel centre line back out, but the minimum thickness would be around an 25mm or so then the wheels would stick out further, you really need to try one on the car??

But that said the 40 profile tyres on them arent any good as they are too small on outside diameter??
