I Did It!

First bit of proper maintenance done on my car. Thanks to this forum I changed my front brake pads! In hindsight a very straight forward job but for someone who has never removed a wheel before I'm pretty chuffed.

So thanks to everyone who has provided advice, videos, photos and links. Much appreciated and you've saved me a decent wad of cash.

Cheers Thumbs Up FL2 TD4 GS 60 reg Facelift - so many issues
2019 DS. Terribly unreliable.
Sold DS for a 2021 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV. Fingers crossed....
Sold Outlander for a 2014 SD4 SE Tech because I’m mental
Now greatly regret selling the Outlander. MPG of the FL2 is atrocious and so are the fuel bills. Fun though 😎
Couldn’t afford the fuel bills so back to an older Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV. Significantly better than I remembered it to be…

I have replaced the front pads on my previous car and the car before that both front and rear. The rear I needed a disc brake spreader. Once I had a spare set of used pads I got them re-bonded. The pads lasted about 2 to 3 times longer, cost half the price. Didn't seem to wear the discs any quicker. They were metalized and braked the car much nicer and didn't produce much dust. Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!
