After sitting for a day in the sun with temp up to 4C it took 5 or 6 tries to get them moving up and down even though there was no sign of any ice round the seals.

mine is still doing it. ive booked it back into the dealer to have a look next Monday. I don't want to risk trying it all the time in case it turns something simple into something big. |

Mine used to stick and refuse to open, I sprayed silicone spray on the window channels and it worked a treat for me also prevents freezing. |

Been out with the spray and passenger window that was working yesterday now only moves a couple of mm again. It can't be iced up as it's been 5C or above most of the day.

I have no answer really but just to throw this into things. Remember that these windows have an "anti trap" software/mechanism on them. So too much resistance will activate that and stop the motor. MY13 Santorini Black SD4 HSE |

Anti trap is only for the lifting mode normally, shouldnt affect lowering, in fact if its stopped going upwards because its closed on some kiddies fingers its essential it will lower and free them and not just stop and leave them trapped.. |

RogB has the same problem so I'll wait to see what happens when he has his dealer look at it.

Well, you maybe partially right in that it's designed to stop and drop a couple of millimetres when going up. However I wouldn't rule out that it might work either way if the winder motor feels resistance. MY13 Santorini Black SD4 HSE |

The window motors have hall sense system - so motor will not operate when excessive resistance is present - regardless of windows position. 2014 SE Loire Blue SD4 Auto (MY15) Gone - 2011 GS Baltic Blue, Retrofit Electric Leather, Side Steps, 19"SC's, Roof Rails, TT Sat Nav Mod, Retrofit Premium Audio, Retro fit 2013 Xenons with DRL & Sig Strip (Clutch at 47k) Gone - 2007 GS Narvik Black, Privacy Glass, 19" SC's, Side Steps,Roof Rails, Roof Spoiler, Lamp Guards, Retrofit Electric Leather (Clutch at 115k) Gone - 2007 SE Santorini Black (Clutch at 120k) BT IID (best money ever spent on a car) |
