Very slow fill up?

Our SD4 is very slow when filling up. The pump continually clicks off which is very annoying. We have been to a number of different garages but it's always the same.

Is this normal? Or a known issue? The car is three years old if that helps..thank you...

Are you sure that the petrol protection lock in the fuel tank inlet is not active? You can try to unlock it by using the yellow plastic tool from the boot. I have had the same problem after an inspection. MY11 SD4 S

Peer down the filler neck and see if you can see the yellow device shown.
If you can see it then it needs re setting, there is usually a device in the boot to do this.
The device causes the pump to continually cut out, to alert you that something is wrong, using the narrow 'petrol' nozzle triggers this device.

If this device trips, does it not stop all fuel being put into it? including diesel? The original poster said he can fill still but its very slow and trips all the time, not he cant fill it at all, which I would have thought such a device would do, stop all filling whatever the fuel?
Unless when its tripped the insertion of the diesel nozzle partly disengages it to allow it to fill slowly??

No. It definitely allows you to refuel but at a V E R Y slow rate. Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto
