KwikFit MOT surprise.

My wife recently had an MOT done at KwikFit (£30). It passed OK with no problems but they couldn't print anything off as their printer was broken. They promised to send it on later. After a couple of weeks with nothing arriving she dropped in again and this time they gave another excuse. The next day we had an email saying "how did you enjoy your recent experience at KwikFIt etc" she sent a response saying it was OK but pity about the paperwork.

That evening a bunch of flowers appeared on our doorstep complete with MOT documentation. We were out when it was delivered but there was also a message of apology on the phone. Anyone else had this sort of treatment?

Nice.

it is so easy for a company to make a big impression when things dont go quite right. Usually, they leave a big negative impression and are happy enough to leave it at that. A simple and inexpensive gesture like this can be a great way of turning a negative into a positive and keep you going back to them.

Nice to see a company like KwikFit doing something like this.

Nice for your wife too.

I had an issue with a different car than the FL2, and the local garage could not sort it. Popped into Quickfit in Colne and they popped the car up, undid the exhaust brackets and sorted a kink in the setup to stop the banging.

OK, how much do I owe you.

Nothing, mate have a nice day.

So I cant say anything negative either.

Actually my daughter had the same experience at KwikFit Canterbury, she went in with a rattle, they put the car on the ramp and even drove it round the block then sorted it. Same again, no charge. We have had one car fail MOT with broken springs and it was genuine, I replaced them myself and they passed it without question. Sounds like they have a strategy of building up trust in their brand. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

Think I may start using them for my MOT. I have a garage that I have used for year, but its 30 miles away and is on demand so a long wait can be possible.

I have read that the best place to have an MOT is is the council garage as they don't make a profit on fails? SD4 HSE Lux Orkney Grey,Full size spare tyre,Ugly kid glass.

Council MOT http://www.money.co.uk/guides/council-mot-...ee-mot.htm
I've never used one myself, as a local place was decent & don't make up work needed. SD4 HSE Lux Orkney Grey,Full size spare tyre,Ugly kid glass.
