Mud guards on metropolis

Main dealer has advised they can supply mud guards for a metropolis but only the front and not the rear. Is the rear bumper different to previous models? Does anyone know why they may not fit the rear or had problems with this themselves? Hippo's videos - Honorary Tratterer

Yes mud flaps or mud guards. I wonder if the parts dept have got confused. I plan to buy them but fit them myself. Most parts are next day delivery to the dealer if ordered before a certain time. I would be surprised if the central stores had run out. I don't think they're having me on as they've been very helpful. Perhaps just a mistake. Thanks Hippo's videos - Honorary Tratterer

Absolute rubbish. My supplying dealer fittes all round mud flaps to my Metropolis. (Past) Freelander 2 HSE 2010 MY In Rimini Red.

It could be that the previous owner has fitted the rear body styling pack in which case the dealers are correct! You can get aftermarket mudflaps for the dynamic that are moulded to the shape of the bumper and the fit is spot on. I got mine from a company in Germany. MY14 Kahn Converted Dynamic - Fuji White Ebony/Pimento Interior

Interesting. How would I spot a rear styling pack from what I think is a normal metropolis?
It has factory rear privacy glass and a spoiler as the only options I know of.
Vehicle is ex lr and not general public. Hippo's videos - Honorary Tratterer

All Freelander 2's have the same rear bumper regardless of what model it is. Some have the lower part painted and some have PDC sensors fitted.

On the white car you can cleary see the ribs under the bumper, if a bodykit is fitted it hides this along with the rear tow hook. If you look at the rear reflectors in the bumper you will see the bumper starts to curve just below from where they are fitted.

Body styling pack fitted. Note the distance between the rear bumper reflectors and bottom of bumper. Gives the car a much more aggressive stance.
