Auto gear stick removal??

Hi guys

I'm following Chris8of9's guide about the headrest screen install.

Screens are in, but I cannot start pulling out the Center console because the gear stick is not coming out as he suggests. Probably because mines an auto gearbox?

Any advice please? Otherwise, any idea on pulling out a 12v cigarette socket without taking out the console?

Thanks.

Sage advice there from Alex.

The last thing we want on here is reports of forum members injured by knobs in their faces.......

You do not need to remove selector knob when removing centre console, undo gaiter and manoeuvre console over knob (oooo errrr)
Disconnecting handbrake cables makes the job easier.

Joe Fix it until it's broke !

For future reference, this may come in handy to people who are as DIY challenged as myself. Rolling Eyes

i can confirm that there is NO NEED to remove the gear shift if the intention is to remove the center console. You can very easily un-clip the black gear shift plate from the aluminium surround. this black plate then fits through the console as you pull this out.
