I have 17" wranglers on mine and they were down to 5mm rear 4mm front after 28000 miles, 5000 of which were towing a caravan(cue CG comment) are your pressures ok and have you had the tracking checked? |

Dont tempt me. At work At home "I can't always believe facts I read on the web" - Charles Dickens winner by default of the tractor vs caravan race |

I have 17" continentals, and I've done 17k, and still have at least another 5k to go out of the tyres

My car came with Good Year Wranglers. I drive a bit heavy footed, under 30mpg and still on first set of tyres after 32000 miles. Much better than the XC90 i had before this which went through tyres in about 15000 miles.

Seeing that you are all asking my opinion, towing has got to have some affect on tyre life, how much so is anyones guess.

41500 miles on Wranglers with 5mm left all around, some caravan towing, maybe 1500 - 1600 miles.

One thing I have noticed, when looking at my spare tyre, is the contis have a wear rating of 300 and the wranglers are 400, so in theory the wranglers should last 1/3 longer than the Contis.

Currently 34,000 miles on original tyres, 30k service report says 30% left so I am looking to get around 40k miles out of them

Are you sure that they have worn by half of the original tread? How can you tell?

My FL2 came with Contis fitted, but whilst cleaning it yesterday noticed that the spare is actually a Wrangler! |
