my front driver side door seal got worn so I ordered a new one ( genuine LR part)

went to fit it and the new one was 6 inches too short. The vendor sent a new one and that too is 4 inches too short (measuring the seals against the one that I have removed from the car). Both are genuine LR parts

is there a super secret way of stretching these so they fit ? i have left it in the sun for an hour but that hasnt made a real difference.

Anyone got any ideas ?
