5 years today

Milestone Milestone Milestone Milestone Milestone

5 years today since I joined this forum. It is testament to the forum that I continue to contribute despite not owning an FL2 since 2013.

Many notable things have happened over the course of my time on here, including:

The epic snow of 2010.
Patented, serrated, snow groove winter tyres Laughing
Organised an off roading day in the Peak District
Started a new job
Finished my law degree

With my first house on the cards, it is bye bye car finance and hello older car for cash in April next year so another regeneration for me Laughing

Thanks for the input folks Thumbs Up

I don't think other forums have the same level of 'reasoned' input that this forum has. Most Ive looked at have mainly been aimed at modifications and go faster bolt ons (Vectra and Astra forums were full of it)

This forum is excellent in that you can get info on anything at all, and LR actively monitor it which proves how worthwhile a forum Freel2 is.

Glad your sticking around if nothing else than for free legal advice Rolling with laughter

Laughing Thumbs Up

Any advice I give is most certainly limited but I'm happy to help if I know something about whatever subject crops up. LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby

Have you decided on your next mode of transport Doc? I'm also possibly leaving FL2 ownership for the next rung on the property ladder. I have been looking at the "cheap and cheerful" end of the car market. I need an estate ideally so have considered one of these;

V6, 4wd for under £3k seems, on paper, good value!

Not yet. A Subaru Legacy Wagon or Outback is the current leader. Either 2.0 or 2.5 (both auto) and tax isn't too bad (bands I and J I believe).

I only like the X-Type with silver or graphite interior trim. The wood just makes it feel too old. LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby

I must be getting old Rolling with laughter

I won't if I end up with another hatchback but I thought I'd go that route with an estate car based on research online. Notwithstanding a test drive of course.

Luckily for me I have been there and moved on as the kids grew up. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto
