rear tailgate lock problem

hi everyone, problem with tailgate lock, have read blogs and believe i need new one.every site i go on states not recognisrd. put in part no lr024648 as advised on one blog but again not recognised. any ideas please

Start with this thread, may not be the lock but the switch, common problem.
