Overheated

Hi

I was driving on the beach and the engine got hot, temp gauge at full, light came on.

I shut off the car and waited for it to cool down

Car started back up fine and is still working as normal

Is there anything i should check now, change or do now, before driving more?

The car is a Diesel TD4 auto.

Thanks in advance

Cooling system water, check this is full to where it should be. Just keep your eye on it and take some bottled water with you just in case. Do not open the cooling system water when it is hot!
