It was a bit colder this morning at 6 degC, but no wind or rain. Even sitting behind a truck at 55 I barely reached a 40MPG on the instantaneous. Neil Hampson

You don't have a binding hand brake do you? I had something similar although I was getting intermittent squeals. It turned out to be a binding hand brake....at least I believe it was. I did have the front transfer box replaced at the same time. Anyway, after the brakes were done my fuel economy improved again. |

The trip computer doesn't give an instantaneous mpg read-out, it's an average over the last so-many miles (can't remember how many off-hand). So it's probably just adjusting to your driving and journeys. It does tend to go up and down, and I certainly wouldn't start to worry just yet. |

My trip gives continuous mpg and an average , I keep it on continuous when driving and look at the average at the end of the journey . Do it now ! Your a long time dead !! |

My understanding of the trip computer was that the 'Average MPG' was the average MPG since the reset button was pressed, the Instant was an average of the last 10 seconds or so of driving. It certianly updates itself that often.

Could be a few reasons, fuel quality, flat tyre, binding brake were mentioned others are clogged fuel/air filter etc. could be the factor. |

Make sure you had not accidentally switched on a terrain programme i.e. GGS which alters settings, throttle response etc. All FL2's (3) Gone
