A friend once spilled battery acid on his boot carpet (unsecured battery fell over!) and I seem to recall we just took out the carpet and gave it a thorough soaking with a hose, then let it dry. Seemed to do the trick. |

Could always try something like (clean!) cat litter - an expensive 'active' one - to see if it will absorb it and remove the smell? 2011 SD4 HSE Auto

Thanks for all the suggestions. Sounds like a scrub and a rinse is all that is required. |

Get hold of a steam cleaner that should shift most stuff, even one of those small hand held things would be perfect for small areas?? |
