Freelander 2 workshop manual

Gentlemen, I’ve just located and downloaded the entire workshop manual for our beloved Freelander 2 (Diesel flavour). I believe the information originated from TOPIx. The manual is 67Mb in size and contains about 2200 pages. It’s in PDF format, very much searchable, and contains every imaginable error code that your vehicle can possibly throw at you, what it means, and best of all - action you need to take!

As can be expected, in addition to the error codes for every single control module in the vehicle there are also instructions on how to dismantle things. In other words this is the proper workshop manual. There is a catch though. It’s in Russian. But, given that this is a PDF and apparently does not contain any OCR errors, is there someone out there that can convert this document into English?

I’ve just tried to upload the file to my gallery but it keeps dropping out. Is there a limit to file size I can upload? MY10 TD4 SE Auto

I am aware of another land rover forum currently hosting a link to download a FL2 2006-2010 Topix style repair / maintenance manual / document including wiring diagrams. It extends to well over 3000 pages and the file is around 300MB as a searchable PDF.

Hi there! I own a freelander 2 td4, I'm from Argentina and I can't find anywhere the workshop manual. I'm getting a P0299 fault and I need to see what I can check to correct the problem. Thanks!

You may have a leak on the intake path.
Look for cracked hoses after the turbo and up to the intake manifold.

Thanks for your comments guys!

Ok Alex, I'll take a look at those hoses. Initially I did not find anything cracked, but I'll look in more detail.
The weird thing (at least for me) is that, although the check engine light turns on, I don't notice any change in performance, acceleration and final speed look the same to me. It doesn't enter a reduced power mode.
Another thing, this started to happen after loading diesel in a new petrol station. May diesel quality be related to this?

Thanks!

Following Alex suggestion, I found that the hose coming out of the intercooler that goes into the intake manifold, there's a union there (between the hose and what goes into the manifold) dirty, covered with dust and oil I pressume. This should be showing there's a leak in that union, right?

Right. Better take that hose out and examine it more closely.
