Model year and equipment level would be needed before we can even guess.
MY07 GS doesn't even have a USB connection, so no mp3 playback.

On my one there's a 3.5mm jack plug near near the rear 12v power socket. I plug my iPhone output into that using a male To male Jack lead.

07 HSE has CD multichanger - MP3 compatible.

Be surprised if the whole range doesn't support it, irrespective of year.

Mine (MY07) doesn't have a USB connection, and plays MP3's absolutely fine.

The OP is asking about MP3 CD's.

Hello.
My FL2 does not have an usb entry.
But in the radio there is the option of AUX.
Between the two front seats, there is something for the radio so the person who seats in the rear seats can use, but i never used it.

But my real question is if i insert a mp3 CD in the radio, does it works or not.
I burned already the mp3 CD and will try it later. Then i will tell you if mine reads it or not.

Regards

The basic head unit will NOT play MP3 discs.

The only way to play MP3 tracks is to plug a male/male 3.5mm jack lead into the aux socket at the rear of the centre console between the front seats and set the head unit to AUX.

However sound quality isn't good in my experience as the socket on the centre console is more like a 3.6mm so the cable doesn't connect very well.

Hello.
I tested it and... it works!
Smile
The original radio reads mp3 CD.
It is fantastic because in just one cd i can listen to almost 200 musics.

strange that, in both my FL2 that ive owned (2007 GS and 2008 GS) both with the basic head unit and neither of them would play MP3 discs.

What head unit do you have in yours ?

There are some pics of mine in my gallery to compare

just checked in your gallery and there are no pictures of your head unit, but I notice you have the rear audio sockets for back seat passengers.

This suggests you have at least the mid line stereo which I believe will play MP3 discs, there was only the basic head unit that couldn't play them.

Hello.
Yes, my version is SE.
It is not that small radio in the center of the console.
It is the better one, but without all the sound column.

yes I agree that the aux socket seems very loose indeed and makes a poor connection. Has anyone found a replacement for this? Cant understand how QC at RR could let this type of thing pass.
