More tow bar advice

I am looking at getting a PCT detachable towbar fitted and a westfalia 13 pin plug the company will also do the software update the one thing I would like to know is when I hook up the caravan will it adjust my auto gearbox to take into account the fact I am towing and when I unhook does it go back to the standard not towing setting, I asked the company who will supply and fit the towbar this question and they told me only if landrover have it built into the canbus system, they did say it would run the fridge and charge the battery

Also should I get the alko towball or the standard towball

can anyone help

An Al-Ko tow ball only applies to fixed flange tow bars. A detachable tow bar is compatible with Al-Ko stabiliser hitches so don't worry on that score... You won't get an Al-Ko ball for a detachable or swans neck tow bar.
