United Kingdom 2009 Freelander 2 TD4 XS Manual Lago Grey

Active Driveline is, aiui, more about fuel economy than off-road ability - disconnecting the rear wheels when not needed. Yes, the 'e-Diff' is a little different from Haldex + diff (from the sound of it effectively replacing the two with a sort of dual-Haldex, one set of clutch plates for each wheel). But even this is more about being able to disconnect the rear wheels from the driveline, although it also appears to give an element of torque biasing. Overall it appears to be more complex (i.e. more to go wrong) in an effort to achieve better mpg figures by making the car 2wd most of the time. Will it be better than the FL2 system off-road? We'll see, but personally I doubt it.
