Never go anywhere near supermarket fuel for the above reasons, I'm using Shell V power or whatever it's called with good results.

If you look at the pumps (e.g. Morrisons) they do tell you that their diesel fuel is mixed with biofuel - can't remember the proportion but it exceeded the tolerance recommended for the Jaguar 2.2D engines. No Longer the owner of a 2013MY Fuji White GS

There must be plenty of folk with rough running cars then because they queue down the road for it at certain times of the day because Tesco offer 4p off every litre when you shop, so its that folk go for, whether its rubbish or not theyve saved 50p on a tankful.

My cousin runs transit pickups delivering logs and an fl2. He refuses to use supermarket stuff after many issues, but he passes other brands on his log rounds.

Used Tesco diesel since day one, with maybe the odd cheeky tank of Sainsbury's thrown in from time to time...

Can't say I've ever had any problems with supermarket fuel, though the past couple of years I've been using Shell as they have been price matching Sainsburys (in this area) and I have to drive past Shell to get to them.

I have 2 FL 2 190BHP auto. you should hear the difference in the idle and rev between the one running the usual high quality diesel and the other when I has the supermarket fuel in it. It was 'orrble and lumpy and sounded like it had a compression knock.

I run mine on Waitrose supermarket fuel no problems at all, though it is branded as Shell, I have never noticed the difference between fuels but I don't use the super versions. The Freely does allow a higher proportion of bio fuel than most and certainly above the UK norm, or at least the later ones do. my PC is slightly to the right of Genghis
