Even with headlight on and fluorescent jacket. You won't see if you don't look. Turning your head is not looking properly! |

DRL`s working !! for work I drive around in a car designed for maximum visibility with blue and white strobes on the roof, blues built into the grill and door mirrors side repeating blues and flashing headlights and the muppets still pull out on me, yesterday I had to emergency stop due to a pedestrian who stepped out in front of me whilst I had blues and wailer on I then got a tirade of abuse from her for making her jump!! she was not wearing earphones so no excuse there.

Certain coloured cars are renown for blending into the background though and if you give just a cursory glance might not be seen, ok you should look properly, but most folk are in a hurry especially if its school pick up time , they cant be late in case theres no room left to park on the school entrance zig zags and their kid get might get abducted as a result, such is life these days |

On Friday of last week, in a 50 mph zone, a foreign (PL) 30' artic pulled out on me to turn left with less than 10 meters to spare. He was completely oblivious to anything coming towards his right hand side, and was only looking left as he pulled out. Both me and the Honda behind had to mount grass banks to avoid a potentially fatal collision, whilst he just trundled off at 20 mph, oblivious to the carnage that he could have caused. I have just tried to upload the file from my BlackVue, but it has been overwritten. The guy behind me and I both were forced to a stop and exchanged words about this arssssehole, unfortunately, with a PL plate, and Warwickshire's USELESS Police 'Service', there is little point in even attempting to report this idiot. It could have been a deadly outcome. He pulled out into a 50 mph area (Offchurch towards Cubbington) without even looking to his right FFS!

thankfully you were able to avoid a disaster. In my view anyone making a "mistake" like that should be banned for a long time. Trouble is, rather than confronting the real issue (the driver) the authorities seem to believe the silver bullet is always to reduce the speed limit and install a camera so the crashes (inevitable presumably) are less serious. No doubt it helps with hitting their targets. What a cocked way to look at it |

What dashcam do you use? Am considering getting one myself but only want to spend £100 max although I see you can pick them up for much less, anyone else recommend something good, the one I am tempted by is the Transcend 200.
