Dreaded engine rattle

I don't know how many have experienced this but this is the first time on this car and I have seen it before on another one. You start the engine and the whole car vibrates as the engine is clearly misfiring. You stop the engine and try again and all's well. It's as if the injectors are firing in the wrong order. It gave my passengers a bit of a fright and they wondered why I was so calm about it. It's been fine since. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

The wonders of EDC17 (post MY2011) ECU firmware.... Laughing
Just like the "misfire/hesitation" experienced by many other users and described in another thread.
I know... I'm a grumpy old man... Laughing Laughing

Happened on my previous FL2 (MY11) only the once and never again, went out in the morning, fired up first time but as if only on 3 cylinders. Shake, rattle and roll until I switched off and started again and behaved normally, afterwards I read Alex's post regarding the ECU version.

Yes I had this fault only once again, almost as if the things flooded, but after it had been running for 10 seconds and given a rev it was ok, I never turned it off and back on so I dont know about that.
The fault never occurred again only the one time.

But I noted when it did occur it was probably the only time I started it cold moved it into the garage the previous evening and switched straight off again so the engine was running maybe 30 secs,
The next day when started it did it like it was misfiring or over choking/flooded, and I put it down to maybe a cold start device fault not resetting its self properly as it was switched off too soon when cold??

Mine did it again yesterday and I remember now that in both cases the engine was hot and that I had stopped and parked for about 5 minutes and then restarted. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto
