Any Oil Fired boiler techs on here ?

My Worcester boiler (2 years old)
has started throwing out black smoke from the Exhaust
I have replaced Nozzle cleaned Filter on Pump and Oil tank, ensured
air intake is clear and removed baffles cleaned primary and secondary heat exchanger too,
blown oil line through and drawn fresh oil through,
Tank is half full, pungent smell and lots of soot apparent on exhaust guard
I have turned boiler off for now.
I cannot check pressures etc as I do not have kit.
boiler fires and runs,
before I call in a local tech any advice ?

Thanks in advance

yep
not Gas.
also the Pump was replaced at 18months as that had failed stopping Boiler firing,
pressure set then by Tech.
I also clean photo cell.

If it was a car I would suggest too much fuel or not enough air.

I tried to service my Worcester Bosch once, only once was enough to end up with a fuel leak and a look of 'you plonker' from the service chap! Seems what I thought was a bleed point after running out of oil, was not a bleeding point.

Had a good chat with the chap though. Everything you have checked rings bells, can't remember there being anything else. Time for a chap to plug in and have a further check. Our boiler is over 15 years old, annual service seems to catch most things.

Cheers
I will call a Man tomorrow
I have been looking around and possible pump pressure issue could be cause
It took a while to bleed the line after I blew it through, so could have air in there still
a man with all the testers a tools will sort itt no doubt for some ££

all else appears ok or I have cleaned/replaced.

Normally the fuel is right or not enough, so I would suspect you do not have enough air, slow fan speed? my PC is slightly to the right of Genghis

You should have bought a Grant boiler Whistle - Standard annual service for our oil fired sytem by OFTEC registered engineer circa £120 - substantially cheaper than a FL2 service Smile MY 09 GS manual in Lago Grey, Wood Co arm rest and side bumper strips - now sold.

Oil pressure was 154psi instead of 131 and a blockage in the air intake removed
Normal service has resumed.
