As title, have finally ordered one of these today, having spoken with the Director of blackvue.co.uk, who alleviated all the concerns and questions that I had.

The reliability was one of my key questions, as I've read some horror stories. What reassured me was that he openly acknowledged that there have been past issues, particularly with DR550, but the 2015 units had been significantly updated. The "green/purple" rear camera issue was down to temperature tolerances, which have now been fixed, and their return rates are less than 3%. As a distributor, he also advised that the Koreans simply swap them out without any quibble, even when they are out of warranty. So all in all, it's a measured risk that I'm willing to take, especially after the C-unit driving the Audi Q7 in Leamington on Thursday took my door mirror off, and legged it afterwards. Make sure that the SD Card is an "XC" or higher.....lesser formats have been known to fail religiously. So far so good with mine, although the Power Magic Pro has been a right faff, and I wish I hadn't bothered with it in hindsight, it seems to serve no purpose whatsoever. Thanks to Nick, Taz and Andy for their input regarding this....appreciated gents Foraging near Gaydon....
