iluminated switch wiring

I have a illuminated switch i want to wire in

it has 5 pins on the bottom and from google i have found

'+' Positive Led
'-' Negative Led
C1 is COMMON
NO is NORMALLY OPEN to COMMON
NC is NORMALLY CLOSED to COMMON

Am i correct the light i am switching is wired between COMMON and NO (so its off until depress the switch in)

connect a Ground to LED- and from NO jump a wire to LED+ so the switch illuminates when on only

Finally, does it need a resistor between the NO and LED+ Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

quick google, has worked it out, and tested with my multimeter to check

but a couple of sites said to add a resistor for the led light side of things, is this needed? Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

depends on the LED fitted to the light, without a series resistor, if the LED is not rated at 12v it wont last long.
Have you any data on the switch or LED?

says it is 12v for the LED, so i am thinking it will be ok, though the advert say 6a/125VAC (whatever that means) the switch say 3A/250VAC on the side
