padstow a great place, lovely wine shop selling good quality wine or stupidly expensive stuff, but you can buy a bottle of your choice and sit outside (when its sunny) have a bottle or four before you get the wife to drive home, with her new clothes or gifts she's just bought

Been on site a couple of days now, starting to wind down. This is a great site and there's quite a mix of caravans an tents, the site has its own access down to the River Fowey which means its popular with the boating types. Have to admit yesterday we saw rain like I've not seen for years (understand your comments John L!) and the wind was a bit strong, this was the wrong trip to forget the awning skirt ...ooops!!!

Forwarned is forarmed as they say, so if you have problem keeping more than one gas burner going on a new bottle you know what to do As for t'internet, I have my Vodafone dongle with me, it is connecting, but we're not getting 3g connection (on Vodafone or 3). However the very nice man that owns and operates the site has set up a wifi network around the site, for which he charges £1 per day, I can live with that! So we're getting 2+meg wireless in the van That is somewhat better than the caravan club who charge £5 hour on the few sites where they do offer the service. |

And of course folks that fly off on their holidays never have any problems, no flight delays, no dodgy hotels, no lost luggage, no stomach upsets, no disastrous Euro exchange rate, no drunken yobs on flights and in hotels .... yeah if only !!! |
