BVA Spec

I've a 2008 FR2 S-BVA that was originally sold in Germany, does anyone know where I might be able to get a spec or brochure for this model.

Does anyone know what the BVA means?, from what I can read with my bad French & German, it would appear that it refers to the Automatic gearbox, is this correct.

Thanks in advance.

You might try TOPIX. Register for free, enter your VIN and you should get the actual build details / spec of your car.

Boite de Vitesse Automatique - automatic gearbox.

Sounds like an S spec with an automatic box - in which case it won't have the terrain response knob in front of the gear lever.

Or is as, as per your avatar, an SE-BVA?

Tried that, only gives very basic information, at least that's all I could find.

Thanks, that's about what I thought. I've not seen the abbreviation used for anything other than the Freelander.

It has a 'S' badge on the back but does have the Terrain Response knob, also automatic Xenon headlights, cruise control, heated seats which I didn't think were part of the Spec.

that was a guess Smile

I also have a X-Type Jaguar with a strange spec but I understand that with a Jaguar you could more or less get them built with whatever you want, was the Freelander the same?

Not equivalent to a UK S spec then - maybe the E fell off Smile
