England 2009 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Manual Stornoway Grey
hse sun roof

problems opening and closing,1st step is to do re set,as per hand book.this failed to resolve the problem in my case, problem was that the roof was not operating as "one touch"and was not tilting or closing properly, after 2dealers telling me it was not a one touch switch, and another telling me the hand book was printed wrong,i contacted my friend (im in the trade)at rodger youngs saltash, who discovered the plastic coated alloy runners were corroded and swollen causing a resistance, fooling the body control unit into thinking something was trapped ,when this is the case only holding the switch in will close or open the roof,ps matford of Exeter told me they wanted 2hs labour to find out why they cant get comms with the vehicle, which I pluged into when I got home and retrived 5 fault codes, but just symtoms, not the cure.hope this helps some one ,it took ages to sort this,by the way my pal replaced the runners so not sure, but its not easy Rolling Eyes
