Not much on this in the book, but I doubt you would need heat above freezing, and it hasnt been that cold hereabouts

It does not need a glow plug light as engine management unit controls the operation of the glow plugs and you only need lights if the driver has to time the operation of the plugs, i.e wait till light goes out before trying to start engine. the test is when its very cold there will be a small delay between the driver pressing the start button and the engine turning over.
