Roof Box Position

I have had my Roof Box sprayed, looks good Cool
I would welcome any suggestions as to best position for it, further forward, further back? Drive home was easy, kept to 60 but looking up through the roof the front of the box seemed to be moving quite a bit, possibly from the air off the screen buffeting against it. I am sure it is quite stable but would like to be sure before I set off to Devon in a few weeks time.

I put mine nearer the back, no change to mpg at all. But my box is a bit smaller than yours, I have never noticed mine moving around even at 80 so try putting yours back a bit.
I do find having it further back makes access easy as I stand on the rear tyre to load it instead of the door sills.

Thanks Wurzel, I might experiment a little and see how it goes, it will certainly go further back Thumbs Up

The front of the box is some way forward of the mounting point, the mounts are tight, might try and video it if I can Nick.

Apart from the fact that you need to carry so much stuff a Disco would swallow it with ease, I would expect the best position to be in line with the rake of the front screen., wouldn't want it so the airflow from the screen was going up below it. p****d off with a Digital Keyboard Warrior

Moved it back, much quieter and doesn't seem to buffet as much, got to 70 and was stable.
Sat nav took 3-4 seconds to initialise, so maybe the antenna is shielded a little bit don't think it will be an issue.
