I've never experienced this noise but there again I don't have to reverse mine when at home or work, just put it in D and drive forward. MY13 HSE LUX Aintree Green

I'm sure I read something about this and that it was traced to the ABS doing a check. Not sure if at first they thought it was the suspension because it sounded like a spring going boing Mine, Saab convertible

I can feel a slight ping on the accelerator pedal but door have always long locked!

my suspicion is that mine is the power steering as you need to go full lock to get it to occur

It's most likely the ABS self test, mine does this every morning, oddly, I also pull away on full lock, maybe that has some bearing on the noise level. |
