I saw that too - there's a guy doing a review on youtube. He seems impressed.

Sounds great for caravaning. I do not really need a reverse camera, but when hooking up a caravan this can be very handy..
Could put one on my caravan as well.
Point is where does it get its power from? The reverse lights... Can you just do that? I have the trailer module. Could use that.

The YouTube reviews of things like this show the reversing light power being used.

I fitted one of these today fairly easy if you don't mind pulling panels off on the rear door.

I picked up the +ve supply from the loom in the spare wheel well, I removed the rear light cluster to determine the wire colour, (green/white) and found a good earth by the wiper motor in the rear door.

Looks good for the caravan. Did note it says is placed in the position the number plate light occupies so is it a number plate light also?

That was the one for the rear of the car, which displays in the rear view mirror http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00NKB7...ge_o05_s00 which replaces one of the number plate lamps but does contain the bulb as well as the camera.

The camera on the caravan is just a small chrome one http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00AFAU...ge_o06_s00 with the cable running down the O/S awning rail, then under the caravan to a transmitter http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00DIV5...ge_o04_s00 connected to a 12v supply in the caravan, the receiver is in the boot of the car wired to the second video input on the mirror.

The 13 pin socket on the car is completely potted with silicon, so I thought a transmitter/receiver was the easiest way of getting video from the caravan to the car
