My Sat Nav reset everytime!

Hi, I've had this problem for a while now. Everytime (99% of the times) I step on my car and the Sat Nav start I find it resetted on english language and on Finland area. Does anyone else had this and how can I solve it?

I've the same issue, except it is Sweden instead of Finland Smile. Problem suddenly started and comes nearly every time I want to use my Nav. Maybe it is related to the new DVD I bought in UK a few month ago. Please post a solution, if you'll find out.

Somebody told me that it's probably an exhausted battery inside of the DVD reader; this could be right since it seems like the gps have lost its memory function.

I have a similar problem, put a query on here but no solutions. I have dismantled DVD unit but no sign of a backup battery, thought it might be like an old computer with a button battery.
Have searched for solutions on both Ford and Volvo sites as they have both used the Denso unit.

I am sure it is power related as sometimes it reverts to Italian and when I start a search it sometimes defaults to Sweden. If I switch off the car it forgets the destination so after a petrol stop on a long journey I need to reprogram the route.

I have only had the car since August and done over 20,000kms including 3 times Italy to UK and back and the sat nav is my only disappointment due to this fault

Leoo724: Did you manage to get this sorted? Mine has started playing up like this more and more, to the point where it now always defaults to english and Sweden as selected search country.
Interesting theory with a battery in nav, I hadn't thought of that, so I would be very interested to hear if you found one.

Cheers
Per
