Bird droppings removal?

Like many others, there are places I park that coincidentally appear to be gathering spots for birds with large appetites and poor bowel control! Rolling Eyes

What have you found is the best product/method for removing hard dried on bird droppings, without damaging the paintwork? Life is not a dress rehearsal!

I too would like to know this. The obvious thing is to wipe it off while fresh, but we all know that doesn't happen. I've tried loads of sprays and wipes and nothing really lifts it. FL2 TD4 GS 60 reg Facelift - so many issues
2019 DS. Terribly unreliable.
Sold DS for a 2021 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV. Fingers crossed....
Sold Outlander for a 2014 SD4 SE Tech because I’m mental
Now greatly regret selling the Outlander. MPG of the FL2 is atrocious and so are the fuel bills. Fun though 😎
Couldn’t afford the fuel bills so back to an older Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV. Significantly better than I remembered it to be…

Whatever you use get the birdie doo doo off as quick as you can.
I found to my cost that jaguar paint warranty does not cover damage by "bird lime"
The lacquer coat on my 24 month old jag was badly damaged by the lovable creatures and despite several attempts and a great deal of frustration I failed to convince JLR that they. should have some responsibility if their raw materials were not able to withstand "normal" daily life.

Wet paper towels left on the dropping with some patience work well. Might have to re-wet a couple of times. Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!

Wet towel left on the deposit while you have a brew. Come back, wash it off, no drama.

The paintwork needs to be kept well polished with a real quality carnuba wax.

Bird droppings unless removed on the same day and not left for the week to dry on and bake in the sun will mark the finish.
Even if you wash of off and repolish if you catch the shine in a certain light you can always see where it was, unless you orbital buff it each time with a compound but thats removing the finish.
The modern water based paints they use now seem more affected by it.

Just check the car each day and remove whats ever on it by soaking it away of first thing in the when the damp has wet it.
Never try to rub it off without giving it a good soaking first.

Also to a degree depends on the birds, seagulls are the worst, not only do the do a huge pile each time its got quick set concrete chips in the stuff and sets like rock Laughing

I read somewhere that modern paints are not as good as they used to be due to EU regulations on solvent usage. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

Got a mark on mine - seems to have damaged the lacquer even though I washed it off same day. I assume JLR will say it's our fault for not buying the expensive extra guard treatment from the dealer. Ex AA Series III LWB Safari - Gone
