Cleaning throttle body

Hi all

How do I remove the throttle body motor to check/clean it?
I've seen the sticky on it but it doesn't go in to how to remove it?
(any help mucho appreciated) Thumbs Up

Hi ad210358.

The gears on the throttle body on my TD4e have gone.
If you could pass on the procedure for swapping the throttle body that would be fantastic.

Thanks in advance. Thumbs Up

Job done. Part came today from dan, £82 delivered. Perfect as always.

Doing it by torch is not a 10 min job, nearly an hour. One thing I would do differently is the back 2 screws don't need to come out, just loosened and the unit then slides back. Other than that just methodically taking things apart is the key.

Andy the instructions were perfect, cheers Thumbs Up

I took the old one apart. Both plastic cog were mashed, one even fell off.

Daft question but how do you know the gears are mashed or need attention without dismantling it? Likewise, if it just needs a clean, how is this known? MY2010 TD4 HSE Santorini Black, 19" Alloys, Almond Leather, Lux Pack, Rear Spoiler, Adaptive Xenons
