United Kingdom 2011 Freelander 2 TD4 XS Manual Stornoway Grey
What Landrover wheels will fit Freelander 2?

Is there a definitive list of Landcover wheels that are interchangeable with Freelander 2
I understand Evoque wheels are fine, what about Discover, Range Roverand Range Rover Sport wheels?
I want to upgrade to 19s or 20s but feel somewhat confused about what will actually fit.
Thanks

Only Evoque and possibly DiscoSport wheels will fit, the other LR products are different and won't fit.
There are other manufacturers wheels that will fit, some Volvo and Ford stuff, quite a few threads on here with wheel size spec that you need.

Range Rover Evoque, and Discovery Sport. That's all.

The PCD is 5x108 which is different to the other LR vehicles.

But it is the same as modern Jags, Volvos and the Ford Focus, Mondeo, and a few others. 2008 Freelander 2 HSE Si6 Black/Black - Hers

Thanks Cambo - I think its wise to say with LR wheels so as not to upset the insurers.

No worries, some more info for you & anyone else who's interested.

My original FL2 wheels are 8Jx18 ET55, the Evoque wheels I have are 8Jx20 ET45

That means the Evoque wheels are spaced out 10mm more than the Freelander ones.

(this is the info that is cast into the back of the spokes)

Regarding tyres, there's been a lot of discussion here on the forum about which tyre size to use.

The FL2 sizes are;

215/75R16 103H/107J
235/65R17 104H/108V
235/60R18 103V/105V
235/55R19 100V/105V

The Evoque in 20" is 245/45R20 but in actual fact a 255/45R20 is a closer rolling circumference to the stock FL2 size.

I am planning on running 265/45R20 on mine, when I get around to it...just to fill the wheel arches a bit better.

Do not waste your time with aftermarket "copy" wheels, the ones on ebay that are replicas of the genuine LR ones.
Friend of mine works at a LR dealer here in Australia, he has seen many replica wheels that have suffered total failures where the spokes have broken and the wheel has complete separated.

The genuine LR wheels are somewhat over-engineered and are much stronger i.e. safer than the copies.

I picked up my genuine Evoque wheels second hand but with delivery-only kms on them, very cheap, much cheaper than a set of copies. So win-win for me... 2008 Freelander 2 HSE Si6 Black/Black - Hers

When I needed new tyres (all round) it was all set to cost me circa £120 a corner or £480.

I sold my old wheels and tyres complete on eBay for £300 and bought a set of brand new Evoque wheels with brand new Pirelli Scorpion tyres for a total of £340 so the overall cost was £10 a corner for new wheels (17" upgraded to 18") and new rubber all round!

There are definatley bargains to be had if you look carefully and are patient...

Two bits of advice.

1] Have a look around at all the different FL2 & Evoque wheels & finishes.
How would they look on your own FL2? - try & photoshop in if you can [or look at another FL2 same as yours with those wheels]?
Then make a priority list.
That way when a set pops up you imediately know whether to go for them or not.
You don't want to buy a set then find either they don't suit your car, or another set that you prefer turns up later.

2] Be a prepared to pay a bit more for the ones you really fancy.
No point in going for second best just to save a few quid, you'll regret it later.
