Does anybody know of anywhere to go in Pembrokeshire west Wales off road? Is there any group events happening in mid Wales anytime soon, I'm new here & to the world of freelander s & itching to get off the tarmac properly..

Unfortunately following the NERC bill Pembs lost just about all its drivable lanes, when the RUPPs were downgraded en mass to bridlepaths etc.

The good news is there's still plenty in Cered * Carms - many of which are do-able in a std car.

I know you've already been in touch (on here) with Bluestone-Wanderer, I'm a few hundred yards up the road from them and am ex DOC. We still get out and about a bit & I'm currently in the process of getting Mantec sump & tank guards put on, after which I'll be looking to get back out on some lanes. We'll let you know

Thanks for that, the nearest & only one in the area is wood park off road which I've already made enquires with, £195 for 2 hour session, first using their dual control land rover , then they will accompany you in your own vehicle for an hour. I did find red valley 4x4 in Carmarthen, they need at least 8 vehicles to book to allow access to the site , maybe some of us near here could get together for an afternoon ,

Andy the owner emailed me back to say its £25 per vehicle for the day , minimum of 8 , and plenty of places for a freelander to explore , if there's some interest maybe we can sort something out ..
