Made and fitted a Dog guard

Well after getting the car i thought great the dog can't jump over but after a few trips he figured it out. Banging Head After having a look at them online and deciding I didn't like the thought of having a mesh guard all the time decided to have a go at making one. Off to the iron mongers in the town and bought a few bits and bobs here is the finished result. I'm delighted with it took a bit of time the brackets I got needed modifying but all worked out well. And when not required you can lower head rests and it drops down behind the seats out of sight. If required you could put 2 bars in but wee jock only has small legs!!

Some of the guard lowered.

View from rear view mirror with guard lowered.

 Regards

Alan

I don't know what the world is coming to. The dogs of today are out of control and have no manners. When I was a kid in the 60's we had a Wolsely 1500 and the boxer dog used to sit quietly on the back seat (or the front if unoccupied).
I blame the parents.

ps nice dog guard though. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

Our Boxer would never get in the boot of a car,but as soon as the rear door was open she would be straight on the back seat.

Looks to me as if the dog was standing it could still fly over the rear seat in the event of a frontal collision? Another member of the failed FL2 clutch/DMF club, twice.

He doesn't bother standing once we are traveling only once stopped he decides he wants to have a look/escape if possible. Lol Dorset Freelander I agree the pants are to blame he is far too spoilt! Regards

A neighbour's dog is a pest. The owner was away for a few weeks. The home was babysat plus the dog. I have never seen such a well behaved dog. Not one bark, it was rarely on the lead. The dog appeared happy & friendly.

At someone's house there were quite a few dogs & a person turned up. All the dogs suddenly behaved & almost sat to attention. I found out later that the person was a dog trainer. I never heard a word said to any dog!
