Chrome on tailgate

Hi all
Just got back into a Freelander after a short spell in
A Hyundai
Across the tailgate there is a strip of chrome and I'm
Not a fan of chrome, is there anything out there in the
after market sales that can replace it

I wasn't a fan when they first came out, but now i have one the same i don't mind it

Your best and most easy option will be to have a vinyl applied over the top of the chrome strip, you should be able to fin a similar colour or add something unique Idea Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Mine has the old style grey plastic handle with Land Rover embossed into it.
Im planning on getting it colour coded white, then blacking the LR wording.

in the extreme you could sell it and buy an x3, but then you'd need a whole load of film to cover all the undesirable bits Whistle At work

Love the look of the black tailgate and lettering. Makes it stand out well, especially on the red. One thing I hate is lots of chrome on a car, ..I always have to de-chrome it. Is it Fly Eye film tint on the tail lights or some other sort of tint?

It's a film tint they put on,don't know the name, but
I'll try and find out, can't stand chrome myself,
it just looks wrong on a Landrover to me.With the
lettering it just looked too much to me with the name
Sd4 and hse. Less is more to me
Still contemplating to have c pillars done, they've done
a sample on one side, just to decide Matt or gloss
I've had my 19" tripple sports "smoked/shadow chromed" as
I think the hse wheels are too bright now, I'll put a pic when
they're on Freelander 1 se 1.8 petrol

Do you tell your insurance company about the mods youve done though?
Making the car look different and more desirable makes it more nickable, especially if you havent got a garage to put it in overnight??
The insurance declarations state have any modifications been done since the car left the factory, most say no, but in the event of a big claim the insurers could beg to differ, it was nicked because of its look.
One reason I keep mine standard, looks boring yes, but less of a worry as it doesnt stand out.
