England 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 SE Manual Tambora Flame
Done and dusted

Ok quick update from my original post, had a great guy turn up and said no problem all the chips can be repaired and he did a pretty good job so just my £25.00 excess paid, he even did an extra chip which I received that morning as well.

Did ask him about a genuine replacement screen and he seemed pretty sure there was very little chance of getting an original LR one, saying as the vehicle was a 07 model it was unlikely the insurance comp would agree to this - can't quite see that but who knows, he also reckoned that he personally had seen very few problems with the replacement screens they supplied as normal for Land Rovers!

So with all this in mind we'll have to wait and see how Hastings Insurance play this as and when the screen needs replacing.

Appreciate all your comments and feedback on this issue and will keep you posted on any future developments, my best bet perhaps though might be to get Norfolk Highways to stop putting clippings down Rolling with laughter Norfolk Pikeman

United States 2010 LR2 i6 HSE Lux Auto Santorini Black

Thanks for this thread! After four years, the rocky mountains finally got the best of my LR2's heated windscreen. Exclamation

We recently replaced our D3's heated windscreen as well. In all honesty they seem to be thicker & last longer than many competing marques. Cool Wait...you get 17in steel wheel options, diesel engines, manual transmissions, cloth seats, optional sunroofs and G4 kit! Censored
