When it does it again knock it out of gear/declutch, if the shake is still the same then its not the flywheel??

I had a similar problem with mine and it was the rear brake shoes sticking. |

yeaap. i thought first handbrake shoes, expander ect but i have renewed just moments ago all components of handbrake, springs, expanders and so on. old handbrake link expander were seized, but now everything is new. Still continues. So you recommend to check brake calipers of all 4, and clean them and copperpaste glidebolts? |

Interesting... I started experiencing something similar a few weeks ago on our 2008 (i6/auto) and it definitely seems to be related to the parking brake. As a test, I put some tape on the handbrake lever to remind myself not to use it and for the last week, no shaking incidents at all. I'm going to pull and check the rear brakes in a bit, but having replaced them within the last year, I think they're probably still fine. What I didn't do was check the parking brake cable itself. It doesn't feel right to not use the brake. |

I know it's an old thread, but was it just your wheels needed balancing? Classic symptoms of shaking over a certain speed 👍🏻 |

This was much more severe than a normal out of balance wobble. It was a shake that felt more like something was about to fall off.

It seems the parking brake on the fl is a bit of a mischief maker. I'm currently having "minor" issues with mine. Seems there's a pin that holds the shoes in place, mine has gone awol meaning my shoe if flapping about inside the NS disc making a very annoying grinding noise. Booked in tomorrow to get sorted. I know when I lost the pin, made a horrible crunching noise and I thought I'd lost my brake pads in the road 😂
