Scam calls

Anyone else been getting a lot of scam calls lately? Fortunately I have a phone which blocks unwanted calls but have filled up the list of dodgy numbers and have to be selective on which ones remain blocked (obviously picked some of the wrong ones).

Had a good game this morning with a guy with an American accent (makes a change from Indian). He helpfully told me that my computer was infected with a virus and that he could clear it as he was a Microsoft support person. I managed to keep him going for nearly ten minutes before he sussed I was stringing him along (dropping that I was running Red Hat rather than Windows probably did it Razz ). He had a good repertoire of expletives but I think I taught him some new ones.

Ho Hum, was going to wash the car today but its rather moist out there at the moment, hopefully I might get another call to keep me amused in the meantime. FL2 Metropolis, Loire Blue, ebony/ivory

I get a lot of "we are calling to help you with the car accident you had recently. normally I hang up but last week I had a similar call and I led them on. Very entertaining.

Me: "so glad you've called, I've been wanting to take this further since the accident".
Them: "oh I'm glad we can help, can you start by telling me what happened?"
Me: "yes, I was driving my unicorn when another vehicle crashed into the side of me. There was fairy dust everywhere. It was horrible."

2019 DS. Terribly unreliable.
Sold DS for a 2021 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV. Fingers crossed....
Sold Outlander for a 2014 SD4 SE Tech because I’m mental
Now greatly regret selling the Outlander. MPG of the FL2 is atrocious and so are the fuel bills. Fun though 😎
Couldn’t afford the fuel bills so back to an older Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV. Significantly better than I remembered it to be…

We get many at work, or did until last week, bought those phones with call guardian and they have stopped.
I enjoy the utility companies, I ask if they sell gas, of course they do and get all enthusiastic.
I then explain that I need 200 cubic meters and can they tell me how many pallets it will come on Laughing

Not much chance of any damage there! Everyone can spread it - Anyone can catch it. Stay home - the life you save can be your own!

Friend of mine had a call from a conservatory supplier, he kept them going for about 15 minutes saying he really wanted one and talking about sizes and options the he gave his address as "Flat 15 ......." when they ask him to confirm that it was a ground floor flat he said no it was two floors up but he has always wanted a conservatory.
