I have been through my car and attempted to update all bulbs to LED. The ones that work and are effective are the festering ones already discussed (from Ultraleds) for the Boot and interior roof lights. I have put LEDs in the Wing mirror and bottom of door lights and have found that they are not very good. The 5W5 LEDs i used are most effective face on whereas these light fittings rely on light coming from the side of the bulb, so I have gone back to the original.

So how do you do the wing mirror ones? I poked around once with a screwdriver but it didn't seem easy to do without damaging something so I stopped. At work

I on the other hand have a much smaller tool. A small, thin screw driver inserted in the crack between the light unit and the casing and the end closest to the end on the wing mirror will release it. It then flops down. A quick twist of the bulb holder reveals the hidden jem.

From earlier in the thread ----------on the other hand have a much smaller tool. A small, thin screw driver inserted in the crack between the light unit and the casing and the end closest to the end on the wing mirror will release it. It then flops down. A quick twist of the bulb holder reveals the hidden jem.
