Clutch peddle down

The peddle went down and didn't come up. I managed to pull it up, get going and eventually it went back to normal. Anyone any experience of this issue?

Lol. I've had other cars that had that problem and it turned out to be the clutch master cylinder. Could that be your problem? Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto

I drove to the south of france 2 years ago in my 2004 TD4 FL1, it was 1000 miles door to door, drove down there fine, drove 500 miles while there, then.. just as we left to head home I stopped at the first Toll booth, dipped the clutch and it stayed there Big Cry

So I casually drove back the entire 1000 miles with no clutch pedal.. was hairy when we stopped for the night in Remis as it was a tight underground carpark..

then came the ferry crossing... getting on there was a mission, but had a nice chat to the ferry people and they let me park with the HGV's so i wouldnt have to get stuck behind all the cars..

I knew straight away that it was the Slave, I dont know why they do dont do what they did on the defender and have an external slave, would have been much easier... and cheaper than having the box out Big Cry

Starter motor took a beeting, but it still going strong at 210,000 miles on the clock.. MY2011 Freelander 2 GS Santorini Black

I dont think you can say Masters and Slaves these days, its not politically correct anymore.

Its more those in charge and those doing the work. Laughing
