Fault Codes - Diesel air intake flow control P02E0 & P02

Ok, I have done a lot of searching and cannot come up with anything that helps, these are the two codes I am getting:
P02E0 - Diesel air intake flow control - open circuit - general electrical fault - circuit open
P02E1 - Diesel air intake flow control - performance - general failure information - no subtype

I have checked all hoses to and from the turbo, all look ok and the connections are good, I don't have any hissing noises either. The revs do dip occasionally when coming to a stand still, this is the only abnormal symptoms I have.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

Ok, just changed the throttle body and now I can tell a big difference. The car is much smoother, no revs going up or down and although my shut down was quick, it was a lot more of a shudder than I have now. Very happy Very Happy . Shut down instant, hardly hear it! I have dismantled the old throttle body and all of the plastic gears are fine, which is probably why I didn't get the run-on that others have experienced. HOWEVER, mine was full of black oily stuff, which must have been why it was causing the issues. Engine is quieter as well, even at speed.
Now it was a bit fiddly, especially if your hands are as big as mine, but easy to do. Having said that I would rather change the oil filter than do it again as my hands are not built for that sort of job. Takes about half an hour.
I will be getting it calibrated to be on the safe side, but for now it runs great.
I have only driven for about 5 miles but fault codes haven't returned yet and will monitor over the next week, but so far so good. Cool

Cheers for posting this. Did yours gently rev up and down occasionally when ticking over? Mine does periodically and also feels like it might stall before recovering when I pull up to stop. Both are intermittent symptoms so I haven't bothered to look for the cause. It could be I need to clean/replace my throttle body.

Hi yes those were my symptoms. I am not sure it has fixed these yet as like you say, it is intermittent so will need to monitor over the next week. The difference is quite marked, it is now quieter, smoother and the shut down is instant. If it doesn't cure the revving issue it was still worth doing. New throttle body was £120 from LR dealer so was cheap to do as well.

Mine has thrown fault P02E5 (Diesel Intake Flap stuck closed) a couple of time recently when the engine shuts down in ECO mode. The fault goes after I fiddle with the plug onto the Mass Airflow meter.
However, on its recent service I was told that my throttle bodies are kernackered too. Being replace on Wednesday. Like you, I won't be able to tell if that cures the P02E5 fault until I drive it for several miles/times.

UPDATE
No more fault codes! Very Happy
The car was still revving up and down occasionally so replaced the sensor as shown below and that appears to have now been cured. Sensor is LR001324, as there was a lot of oil in the throttle body I think this has blocked or damaged that sensor?

Many thanks for sharing that information with us. Members such as yourself are invaluable to the rest of us who have similar problems but don't have a clue where to start looking for a cure. Mine doesn't do it very often but I'm a little anal with my cars so I'll change the same parts as you at the next service Thumbs Up

Many thanks, of course no guarantees but worth looking at as it fixed mine. Thumbs Up
