factory sat nav on the blink -SOLVED

See below my screen. The screensaver and settings plus first menu screen all ok . This happens when you press navigation button. Have unplugged and replugged all sockets on unit under seat and screen behind dashboard. Any ideas anyone?

Blue Video Connector SAT Nav to LCD Touchsceen

Finally solved this but after I acquired a loom from the breakers could see where the connections went. However it will still be useful to replace the troublesome connector when I get round to it and any other cable/connector failures later.

Follow the blue connector with black cable out of the Sat Nav it goes through the gear stick under the air con controls is the connections station to the LCD where the blue male connects to a recieving female blue connector which follows on up the loom to the LCD screen. The cable in the connetor was loose hence a distorted lined no picture. Push the cable in a bit and all working ok.

I know you can get a repair cable but getting these blue connectors to release the cable from the cable is trickey I honestly advise getting a loom from the breakers it is a fraction of the cost from LR and you have a whole set of cable spares if anything breaks. Additionaly it gives you a picture of the whole cable layout so much easier to track down faults rather then trying to follow wiring diagrams.

Part Number LR005409 LCD Connetor Cable Blue Connectors

Had ordered a Repair cable before I got the Loom from breakers Part Number LR005409 which actually comes complete with fitted blue connectors this is the blue connector and black cable from the LCD display to the connector station just under the Air Con/Heater Dials, accessed by removing the gear knob and gear stick silver cover.
